Here is a book Physics of the Otherworld, whose author, a physicist Azer Eminzadeh bravely writes and formulates meanings that are at the intersection of humanities, exact sciences and spirituality. The work of A. Eminzadeh, published in 2025, does not call upon us to believe everything written as to be a decision body of last resort. He invites the reader to reflect on many questions that may have interested us since childhood, but we could not find answers to them either at school or in science. The observations and conclusions made by A. Eminzadeh may contradict some postulates of modern science, but science itself forges ahead, constantly refuting its previous theories and laws. The author’s goal is to appeal not only to the reader’s intellect, but also to reason, subconsciousness, and most importantly, to the heart, which is the most important measure of everything that exists. More precisely, it should be so - that is, the harmony of intellect, mind, reason, subconsciousness and heart is possible in the order indicated: information must be sifted out from intellect to heart. This is how meanings are formed. The work of A. Eminzadeh is about high meanings, where knowledge only in physics, mathematics and astronomy is not enough to understand the messages collected in the book.
I am very glad that I have managed to make friends and cooperate with Azer Eminzadeh at the time of writing the book. There was correspondence and dialogue between us for several years and part of it was used in writing this book. Therefore, I considered it my duty to convey some thoughts and remarks considerations on the published book and thereby encourage a prospective reader to purchase this work of by A. Eminzadeh.
Usually, meanings are formed to be clothed in the guise of ideological postulates for managing society. Whatever we critically treat ideology, this is a weapon that can only be countered with a similar weapon. At the same time, of course, misuse of ideology always takes place. During the collapse of the USSR, a struggle of new and old ideologies began. Azerbaijan also faced the hostile ideology of neighboring Armenia, resulting in a bloody war in which hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and maimed. Then, in the late 1980s - 1990s, we could not resist the hostile ideology, but we came to serious conclusions from the tragedy.
During uncertain 1990s the formation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, national leader Heydar Aliyev put forward the idea of Azerbaijanism (Azərbaycançılıq), which could bring together various people of the country around a common ideological structure. Moreover, this idea is able to unite the peoples of the entire historical Azerbaijan, who look with pride at the Republic of Azerbaijan as a successful example of the synthesis of the European, Turkic and Muslim origins. We, as heirs of the first independent Azerbaijan Democratic Republic of 1918-1920 in the East, can today develop and establish the principles of Azerbaijanism with updated meanings and turn it into a structure that is capable of responding to the historical challenges of not only the coming decades, but is relevant for subsequent generations. These generations must understand and accept Azerbaijanism as an idea integrated into the future, based on past experience and traditions.
The main thing in the implementation the idea is not to repeat the mistakes that took place among other peoples and countries. One of these tragic examples is the Armenian mythical project “Greater Armenia”, which causes enormous harm to both the Armenian and neighboring peoples.
In our Azerbaijani project, I think we should rely on the fact that we are a state-oriented nation, whose military-political elite created a large number of states and empires on open spaces of Eurasia over many centuries. We are the people who take responsibility for the fate of other peoples and large geographies. Therefore, in the new historical or ideological concept, it is appropriate to emphasize the important role of the ancestors of the Azerbaijani Turks in the Middle Ages in suppressing the Crusades, liberating the Middle East, Jerusalem, Egypt and other territories. The role in the formation of statehood and the spread of Islam and science from Egypt, Sham, Iran, Central Asia to India and the Bay of Bengal.
The aim is trying to present Azerbaijan not just as a separate historical, geographical or administrative space, but also as a regional center of politics, military, science, art and culture. To this end of our like-minded people from Azerbaijan and other countries holds scientific discussions and prepares publications.
For effective management and sustainable personnel human resources policy with a view to long-term implementation of the above project, there should be used Western and other best developments. In this regard the developments and experience of Azer Eminzadeh collected in this book will be very interesting, as he refers not only to humanitarian disciplines, but confirms his conclusions by referring to mathematical formulas, equations and physical laws.
In particular, it is interesting the application of Pareto principle, Fibonacci’s Law (golden ratio), ideas of the medieval Azerbaijani scientist Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi, works of our contemporary American mathematician of Azerbaijani origin Lotfi Zadeh (Azerb. Lütfi Rəhim oğlu Ələsgərzadə), who was the author of the term “fuzzy logic” and one of the founders of the theory of fuzzy sets, professor at the University of California (Berkeley). All of them will give serious results, save time and resources in the implementation of human resources policy, management and use of human capital.
I think it would be appropriate to briefly present some basis of the above practices.
Pareto principle
The Pareto principle (also known as the 80:20 rule) is an empirical principle rule named after economist and sociologist Vilfredo Pareto, which in its most general form is formulated as “20% of efforts produce 80% of the result, and the remaining 80% of efforts produce only 20% of the result.” Compliance with the 80:20 rule is very common in various fields. For example, at various times in many communities it turned out that approximately 20% of people own 80% of the capital in business; often 20% of buyers or regular clients yield 80% of the profit. But in these statements, the given numerical values are not fundamental, but the very fact of their significant difference, the specific figures of unevenness degree can be any. Moreover, there is always a desire of elites to take control of more than 80% of resources, capital and management, which usually turns into complex socio-economic and public problems.
Vilfredo Federico Damaso Pareto (1848-1923) was an Italian engineer, economist and sociologist. One of the founders of the “elite theory”. In political science and sociology, the “elite theory” is a theory of the state that seeks to describe and explain power relations in human society. This theory states that a minority (the elite) has the greatest power in society. This concept suggests that the people in general are not capable of running the state and this function is taken over by the elite, which is able to become steadily organized and bear collective responsibility. If the elite fails the tasks, then the entire state concept subsides and collapses.
Pareto principle can be used as a basic setting in the analysis of factors of efficiency of any activity and optimization of its results: by correctly choosing the minimum of the most important actions, you can quickly get a significant part of the planned full result, while further improvements are ineffective and may not be justified (according to Pareto chart). The developed statistical Pareto distribution and Pareto optimum are now widely used in economic theory, management, electronics, mechanical engineering, human resources policy, public administration, political science, sociology, agriculture and other scientific disciplines. Even the operation of microprocessors is programmed taking into account Pareto principle.
The numbers given in the principle should not be considered absolutely accurate: this is rather just a mnemonic rule than real guidelines. The choice of the numbers 20 and 80 is also a tribute to Pareto, who revealed a specific structure of income distribution among households, which was characterized by the concentration of 80% of income among 20% of families. These principles turned out to be universal in agriculture, mechanical engineering, human resources policy and other areas where it is necessary to determine efficiency and coefficient of performance.
It is no secret that during hostilities, it is important for the attacking side to capture near or more than 20% of the strategically and economically important territories of the country. That is why, for example, about 20% of the territories of Azerbaijan were under Armenian occupation. Approximately 20% of Georgian, Moldovan, Ukrainian territories are under occupation. For the break-up of the USSR, except the RSFSR, it was enough the declaration of independence of the 14 remaining union republics, the territory of which encompassed approximately 20% of the entire USSR.
Another example: in the autumn of 2020, as a result of the 44-day war, Azerbaijan liberated major part of the occupied territories (75%). The remaining 25% were liberated as a result of a series of antiterrorist operations in 2021-2023, the final of which was the operation in September 2023, which led to the complete liberation of Azerbaijani territories.
Returning to Pareto, in his opinion, society has a pyramidal structure, at the top of which is the leading social class, the elite that directs the life of the entire society. However, successful development of society is possible only with timely renewal of elites, which is meant by Pareto, in his concept of “blood circulation”, as the absorption and inclusion of the most mobile representatives of non-elites or counter-elites into the elite by directive “election from above” by the ruling elite itself. Otherwise, according to his concept, society awaits stultification and replacement, as a result of revolution, of the old elite by a new one.
Fibonacci’s Law (Golden Ratio)
Fibonacci’s Law is named after the medieval mathematician Leonardo of Pisa (known as Fibonacci). Fibonacci numbers (Fibonacci’s law or the Golden Ratio) are elements of a numerical sequence in which the first two numbers are 0 and 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers. For example: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, 4181, 6765, 10946, 17711, … (sequence A000045 in OEIS). If this numeric relative pattern is drawn as an arc, we get the well-known “buta” - one of the oldest symbols in the East and in Azerbaijan.
The Fibonacci sequence was well known in ancient Babylon, India, Egypt, and the Muslim East, where it was used in architecture, mathematical calculations, and in metric sciences (prosody, in other words — versification) much earlier than it became known in Europe.
In the ancient East, he also learned the pattern of the “golden ratio”, later called “Fibonacci spiral” in Europe and today it is taken into account which buildings, pyramids, skyscrapers, bridges and any stable multi-layered structures are built according to “the spiral”. For example, the Maiden Tower in Baku is an ancient miracle, which is built not only according to the rules of the “golden ratio”, but also repeats it in shape.
Leonardo of Pisa (1170-1250) — the first major mathematician of medieval Europe. Best known by the nickname Fibonacci. His father often visited Algeria on business, and Leonardo studied mathematics there with Arab Muslim teachers. Later Fibonacci visited Egypt, Syria, Byzantium, Sicily. He became acquainted with the achievements of Muslim, ancient and Indian mathematicians in Arabic translation. Based on the knowledge he acquired, Fibonacci wrote a number of mathematical treatises that represent an outstanding phenomenon of medieval Western European science. The works of Leonardo Fibonacci “Book of Abacus”, “Practice of Geometry”, “Book of Squares”, treatise “Flower” promoted the spreading of the positional number system in Europe, which is more convenient for calculations than Roman numeral. This book examined the possibilities of using Arabic (Indian) numerals in detail, which previously remained unclear, and gave examples of solving practical problems, in particular, related to trade. The positional system gained popularity in Europe many centuries later during the Renaissance. Among Fibonacci’s works that have not survived to us is the treatise “Di minor guisa” on commercial arithmetic, as well as comments on Euclid’s Elements Book 10.
Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi
Shihab al-Din Abu al-Futuh Yahya ibn Habash Suhrawardi (1155-1191) was an Iranian Azerbaijani philosopher and mystic, founder of the philosophy of Ishraq (Illumination), and for that reason he became known as Shaikh - i- Ishraq (Master of Illumination). He was born near Zanjan – in the southern regions of historical Azerbaijan.
Suhrawardi believed that he was reviving the tradition of ancient wisdom and for this purpose wrote a number of books in which he explored the influence of light and darkness, light and sound vibrations, and color spectrum on the sustainable management of human society. As a result, he was executed on charges of heresy, and therefore received also the title of ash-Sheikh al-Maqtul, that is, “The Killed Sheikh”. Suhrawardi is the author of more than 50 philosophical works in Persian and Arabic. The most important of these is the book “The Philosophy of Illumination” (Arabic — حكمة الإشراق – Kitab Hikmat al-ishraq), which the philosopher completed in 1186. Sheikh al-Ishraq was executed on charges of heresy by the order of al-Malik al-Zahir, the son of the great Turkic ruler Saladin Ayyubi, whose ancestors came from Dvin, Western Azerbaijan.
Suhrawardi’s ideas and works during the Crusades became known in Europe and many centuries later, mixed with the practices of Sufi orders, formed the basis of the movement of the Order of the Illuminati (German Illuminatenorden, from Latin illuminati), or the enlightened (from Latin illuminatus, illuminated, enlightened). The Latin word “illuminati” is a loan-translation of the Arabic word “ishraq” (light), which formed the basis of Suhrawardi’s concept called “Ishraqiya” (Enlightenment). Modernized in this way, Suhraward’s ideas formed the basis of the European Reformation and Enlightenment, and in the 18th century became widespread among European elites through the Illuminati.
Brief justification
However, there are is certain developments, which have been modeled by a group of our like-minded people within the framework of the projects of the Center for the Caucasus History in order to predict more deeply events in the world around us. The conclusions are based on the study of historical events, the peculiarities of geography, the character and cultural codes of the peoples inhabiting historical Azerbaijan.
Our people love family and a fair ruler, as the head of a large family – the state. Family values are our ancient codes, which must be followed, but not abused. There is a certain time period when these codes are most effective. But this is a separate issue.
According to astronomical and mathematical calculations, time is not only relative, but also corresponds to Cyclic Law, according to which all objects move in the macro and microcosm. That is, all bodies, planets, stars, galaxies, as well as elementary particles move cyclically as they are influenced by wave and other types of energy. This pattern also applies to the flow of time, which is not only cyclical, but also three-dimensional for us. Since for the human eye and consciousness the world around us is three-dimensional, we perceive the flow of time as three-dimensional. Unfortunately, over the past 150-200 years, the European linear concept of time and history has spread through the education system that ignores the cyclical nature of time and historical processes.
Time cycles are like waves in the ocean, twisting into a spiral, create a cyclical effect. Short-term projects are implemented in a short time cycle of 36 years. The 36-year cycle appears as a result of the difference between the movement of the Moon and the Sun. The solar year is 365 or 366 days, and the lunar year is 354 or 355 days. Thus, every year the lunar calendar moves 10 days behind the solar calendar. As a result, over 36 years, there is a year difference between the lunar and solar calendars. That is, once every 36 years, the Moon and the Sun converge approximately at the same point in time.
It is generally accepted that the 36-year cycle begins in February-March of a leap year. That is why the holiday of Nowruz and the 4 weeks of “chilya” preceding it in February-March played an important role for our and neighboring people. The arrow of cosmic time in this concept moves in February-March and one cosmic second is equal to our 4 years. Therefore, in various cultures, beliefs and traditions, the rule of carrying out crucial projects is still preserved in leap years. For example, presidential elections in the United States, the Olympic Games and other similar events are held every 4 years, based on ancient antique traditions, metaphysics and philosophy. It should be noted that we are not calling to work with the mindset that we cite. Much of tenets are taken from relict pagan cults and beliefs and contradict the all-encompassing doctrine of Monotheism. But there are some developments based on astronomical, physical and biological patterns.
The 36-year small cycle consists of three 12-year cycles (12 years is one astrological zodiacal circle), and this 12-year circle is divided into three 4-year cycles. This is exactly why the clock face is created according to the principle where a 12-hour circle (or two 12-hour circles - 24 hours) is divided into 4 stages (morning, day, evening and night). These four stages in this world symbolize birth, growth, peak and death - what all organisms, people, society, states, ideas and projects go through. After the completion of the four stages of the cycle, a new cycle begins again and all these cycles look approximately like this in the form of a spiral: birth, growth, peak and death - birth, growth, peak and death - birth, growth, peak and death ... This spiral, unfolding according to the Fibonacci’s law, can be represented in the form of a sea shell or an infinite spring, which corresponds to the Möbius spiral (band, sheet or Möbius loop), which looks like a mathematical symbol of infinity.
The small 36-year cycle has its mirror repetition and thus it turns out 72 years in which a small sustainable project can be fully implemented. For more serious projects, a 360-year average cycle is used, which, paired with its mirror repetition, gives 720 years (inflow and outflow of the project). During the “inflow” the project expands and reaches its peak, then at the peak of 360 years the “outflow” and shrinkage of the project begins, against the background of which another (opposite, hostile) project begins to expand. This can be seen in the example of Western and Eastern projects from ancient, antique times to the Middle Ages, the Enlightenment and to the present day. Each time the weakening of the Western project led to the strengthening of the Eastern project and vice versa. Today we are living through the decline of the 360-year cycle of the power of the Western project, which began with the Enlightenment and is now ending with the decline of the Liberal project. In the previous 360-year cycle, there was the Southern European Renaissance, before that there was the stage of the Muslim Turkic medieval Renaissance, etc. you can continue into the past to antiquity and deeper.
There is also a Large astronomical cycle of 2148 years, which is also coming to an end these days, when the Age of Pisces is replaced by the Age of Aquarius. Note that approximately in the period from 2012 to 2024, comes to the end the small 36-year and medium 360-year and large 2148-year cycles. There are other types of cycles: 7-year biological, 11-year solar, 40-year cycle of society, etc., but in this case, we will not consider them yet, although without taking them into account, it will not be possible to compose a complete composition.
Several years ago, I personally began to speak on the topic that the Rubicon 2024-2025 is important for both world civilization and for our region as a whole. Let me remind you that the last small 36-year cycle for us began in February of the leap year 1988. It was then that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was launched (with 4 years before that - especially in 1987 a hidden preparations were going on). In February 1988, mass protests, riots, and calls for “Miatsum” (“Unification” in Armenian) began in Yerevan and Khankendi. Then on February 22, 1988, the first blood was shed in Askeran and on February 27-29 in Sumgait. Exactly four years later, against the backdrop of the collapse of the USSR, the Karabakh conflict reached its military apogee - the Khojaly genocide on February 26, 1992. In 4 years (1988-1992) the USSR was disbanded and destroyed, primarily through incitement of Karabakh conflict. Those who were behind this knew the Cyclic Law and its periodicity perfectly well. Using the example of our 36-year cycle of 1988-2024, one can trace the growth, peak and decline of socio-political processes. The 1988-2024 cycle was successful for countries such as the USA, France, Armenia and a number of other countries, for which the sun and the wind of good luck were at hit their backs, blinding and complicating the conditions for their opponents. Remember that even in a football match, after the first half, the teams change places on the field in order to balance the factor and the influence of the sun and wind on the players. Similarly, cosmic and other factors affect countries and peoples.
Since the 36-year cycle is conventionally divided into three 12-year phases, they can be designated as the first growth phase (12 years), the second peak phase (12 years) and the third decline phase (12 years). That is why the first 12 years of the cycle (1988-2000) were successful for the USA, France, Armenia and a number of countries and unsuccessful for the USSR (complete collapse and stagnation of Russia on its remnants), Azerbaijan and a number of countries in Asia. Then the second 12-year phase (2000-2012), the victorious, successful countries rested on their laurels and reached the peak of their capabilities in this 36-year cycle. By the way, it is in this second phase that the losing countries (parties) begin to mobilize their forces and resources to change the situation. And in the last 12-year phase (2012-2024), the winners and losers can switch places. This is exactly what happened in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It was in the last 12-year phase (2012-2024) that Azerbaijan made every effort to create its military-industrial complex, reform the army and increase its military-technical potential. In April 2016, there was a “reconnaissance in force” - the April battles, the purpose of which was to find and identify weaknesses in the Azerbaijani army, human resources policy and command decisions. In the autumn of 2020, as a result of the 44-day war, Azerbaijan liberated most of the occupied territories (again, Pareto’s principle comes to mind). The remaining 20-plus percent were liberated as a result of a series of anti-terrorist operations in 2021-2023, the final of which was the operation in September 2023, which led to the complete liberation of Azerbaijani territories. But this process was completed after the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent from Karabakh in the spring-summer of 2024. That is, there are all three phases of the 36-year cycle: 1988-2000 (war, defeat of Azerbaijan and searching for ways out of the conflict); 2000-2012 (building economic power); 2012-2024 (converting economic power into military-political power and victory in the war).
A year before the start of each 36-year cycle, a “window of opportunity” or chance opens up when you can try to squeeze the maximum benefit for your project or lay the foundation for a new one. Similarly, autumn 2023 to February-March 2024 became a “window of opportunity” for the formation of the next cycle of 2024-2060. It would be a criminal negligence for us to miss these chances and let others take advantage of them for us.
Back in 1923, the German mystic Perith Shaw proclaimed a course to prepare for the completion of the next cosmic cycle and entry a hundred years later into the “Age of Aquarius”, which, in his opinion, is associated with the cycle of rotation of planetary systems around an invisible cosmic center, which was then identified with the “Black Sun” used in Nazi occultism.
The period of time during which the vernal equinox point is in the same sign of the zodiac is called the astrological era in astrology. The change of astrological “eras” is associated with the phenomenon of precession of the Earth’s axis, which causes a slow shift of the vernal equinox point against the movement of the Sun. This, by the way, is also associated with climate fluctuations. Since a full circle of precession takes 25,776 years, 1/12 of this cycle is equal to 2148 years. That is, approximately every 2,150 years begins a new era.
Now, from the constellation Pisces, the vernal equinox point is gradually moving to the constellation Aquarius. And earlier it moved from the constellation Aries to the constellation Pisces. The prophet Moses personified the beginning of a new era of Pisces after the era of Taurus (hence the use of a ram’s head in Jewish rituals, and the sadness of the prophet Moses that the people worship the golden calf). The era of Pisces is also largely and in symbols associated with the mission of the prophet Jesus - that is why his followers then chose the Fish symbol.
Approximately the astronomical transition to the Age of Aquarius occurred between 2012-2024. The beginning of the Age of Aquarius as a concept also underlies the ideas of the “new age” movement that the era of Pisces (associated with Christianity) is being replaced by a new era in which teachings that are a synthesis of various religions and modern scientific achievements will dominate. That the basic concept of the new era will be the acquisition of personal happiness for everyone (“happy future”), while the main idea of the previous era of Pisces was the purification of souls through suffering and compassion.
As a form of Western esotericism, “new age” largely relied on esoteric traditions, occultism of the 18th-19th centuries, and theosophy of the early 20th century. Becoming a major movement in the 1960s and 70s, when it was mainly concentrated in Great Britain (like many religious and ideological movements of modern times), it spread more widely in the 1980s and 1990s in the USA. Becoming a concept of culture for the so-called “chosen”, “enlightened”.
The new age movement, and the theosophical outlooks underlying it, are part of a larger phenomenon called “counterculture”, which “expresses the ideals, aspirations and dreams of a particular population during a certain period of time - the social manifestation of the spirit of the time (Zeitgeist). That is, the phenomenon of counterculture is the imposition of values and norms of behavior that differ significantly in most of society from the main ones and traditional. Specifically, this phenomenon is directed against the culture and views of the middle class, which was the basis of the bourgeois and other similar traditional societies of the last few centuries.
Striking examples of counterculture in the Western world are the cultural revolution, the hippie movement, etc., which existed in the 1960s, sponsored and supported by certain financial and political circles. Counterculture can carry both positive and harmful trends into society. For example, the movement for civil rights, pacifism, feminism in general initially had a positive impact on the development of society. However, along with it, this counterculture can encourage changes that serve the interests of a small but noisy minority. For example, what we are seeing today with LGBT and other non-traditional movements, freedom of drug use and other fictional “freedoms”.
The famous Russian writer-satirist, playwright and TV presenter Arkady Arkanov said very briefly and succinctly about what freedom is in an interview for Komsomolskaya Pravda in January 2013: “... I have a formula that there are two stages of freedom. One freedom is the stage of a newly freed slave, it is defined by the formula: what I want, I do. The second stage, you need to live to see it, and not one generation. It is defined by another formula: what I don’t want, I don’t do. That is true freedom of the individual.”
But let’s return to the work of Azer Eminzadeh. The problems of freedom of choice, the formula of power, the management of public and social processes, the theme of hierarchy (rank) of everything in the Universe and much more are raised in the author’s work. At the same time, he raises not only issues, but also tries to give clear answers to them, supported by mathematical equations and physical formulas.
A. Eminzadeh has his own opinion about the Big Bang theory, which for the last decades has been trying to explain the origin and formation of the Universe. A. Eminzadeh seeks to prove that this theory is erroneous and does not take into account some parameters and laws that exist and can be proven. In particular, recent scientific studies of space have shown that there are galaxies and celestial bodies that are even older than the moment of the Big Bang, that is, the Universe itself. These discoveries already cast doubt on some of the postulates of the Big Bang theory - it turns out that before our Universe there existed the others.
My personal opinion is that A.Eminzadeh, through his work, opens a serious discussion in science, a discussion that will be difficult and long. For my part, I note that I always strive to rely on all my actions and reasoning on divine revelation, primarily the Quran, where answers are given to the most important questions for us of current, hereafter, eternal life:
“With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof.
And We have spread out the earth, how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We!
And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah).”
